ION News

The Interorganization Network (ION) is a national umbrella organization that brings together organizations with a similar mission as BDN’s.  The member organizations are:  the Board of Directors Network (Georgia), The Boston Club (Boston), The Chicago Network (Chicago), The Forum of Executive Women (Greater Philadelphia), the Inforum Center for Leadership (Detroit), Milwaukee Women, Inc. (Milwaukee), and Women Executive Leadership (Ft. Lauderdale-South Florida area).  ION member organizations are conducting a survey of members concerning their participation in corporate proxy votes.  Look for the survey and please submit your responses by September 30, 2007

ION’s Proxy Initiative:  ION and its member organizations will soon release information outlining its initiative in which anyone who holds stock in a public company can participate.  The ION members will be asked to write on the proxy ballot or send a letter directly to the Board of Directors questioning why there are no or only 1 or 2 women serving on the Board of Directors.  This is one way for us to make our voices heard across the country.
