Trish Jones
Trish Jones is Senior Vice President of Strategic Audience Solutions (SAS) for Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. (TBS, Inc.). Jones is responsible for leading a team whose mission is to accelerate the company’s work in the area of audience-focused infrastructure and strategy. The SAS team collaborates to capture, contextualize and deliver to advertisers more relevant audience data. The immediate focus of the SAS team is TBS, Inc.’s company-wide audience data monetization initiative. Jones is based in Atlanta at TBS, Inc. headquarters and reports to Jim McCaffrey, Executive Vice President of Operations & Strategy.
Jones was formerly Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for TBS, Inc., responsible for corporate transactions; technology, satellite, new media and telecom deals; properties; privacy; legal department operations; and all international legal matters overseen by the regional lawyers.
Prior to joining TBS, Inc. in 2000, Jones held business and legal positions with The Coca-Cola Company. From 1998-2000, she served as Director of Business Planning and Processes within the Information Services Division of The Coca-Cola Company, working closely with the chief information officer to set and implement global information technology strategies and to structure business planning for the information services organizations of the Coca-Cola system worldwide. From 1996 to 1998, Jones served as technology counsel, advising the CIO and senior information services management team with respect to intellectual property and technology-related legal issues.
Previously, Jones was senior intellectual property and international counsel for Anacomp, Inc., an international Fortune 500 technology company. She began her legal career in private practice as a member of the Corporate & Technology Practice Group with the law firm of Powell, Goldstein, Frazer and Murphy in Atlanta.
Jones earned a bachelor’s degree from Spring Hill College, a juris doctor degree from the University of Richmond and an LL.M with a concentration in international law from Georgetown University Law Center. She serves on the board of directors of the Georgia Center for Child Advocacy; is a member of the Atlanta Women’s Foundation and Women in Cable Telecommunications; and is the executive sponsor of TurnOut, TBS, Inc.’s LGBT business resource group.
